These quilts function to describe a sanctified place a time a space between gravity and grace which is found in humanity... represented by a shroud, a prayer closet, a personal tent- of-covering.. an expression of jubilation on a personal level, these quilts are faith made tangible through prayer. Prayer whether the spoken word as it manifests truth through mantra and affirmation or by any sound, movement or task which is drawn out of the body.
On this mountain I AM lifting the shround that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations.. swallowing up death in victory.. wiping away the tears from all faces and forgiving disgrace from all the earth. words from the prophet Isaiah 25: 7-8 |
